You give more money to the rich, because in turn they can hire and pay more to their employees i.e. the middle class. Then there are less poor people, and the middle class now has more money, so it is their responsibility to aid the poor. NOT THE GOVERNMENT WHICH STEALS YOUR MONEY AND GIVES IT TO WORTHLESS CAUSES THAT NOBODY CARES ABOUT!

Do you realize that Christian conservatives donate an average of 30% more to the poor, than the hypocritical liberals who on average earn 9% more? The liberals are too selfish to donate their money, so they just expect the govermentment to do it for them. Like I previously said, what the government takes out of taxes will only partially go to the poor. Go to sch00l n00bs.

"Helps?" Rewarding people for being unproductive is "helping" them by teaching them that if they become really pathetic then they'll get money?

The government only spends a minimal portion of their budget to aid the poor, it's much more beneficial if you give money directly to the poor people (when I say give money to the poor people, I mean clothing, food, housing. Like Nitro said giving money directly to the poor just encourages their innate laziness.) Is it not more beneficial to give these people jobs, then just throw money at them and they'll most likely spend it on an alcohol binge and drugs?
